I just have to say wow for this one. I mean it’s my third book of hers I’ve read and it’s still lived up to the amazing reviews of others! The way Hoover made my emotions twirl and change with every page I read is just incredible
So at first a took me a bit to get into it like it was kinda hard but after I kept going it got good, really enjoyed it
4.5 stars
Probably made me feel the most out of any CoHo books I've read thus far. Love love love Kenna and Ledger. I really enjoyed how messy, complicated, torn, two-sided everyone's feelings were.
My only small critique is I find that CoHo's character p.o.v.'s all have a similar tone and feel, i.e. if you took out the names and relevant context/actions, I wouldn't necessarily tell which chapter is from Kenna's or Ledger's p.o.v.

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars.
From start to finish, I was invested in the story. My initial reaction to the end was that it was a little too fairytale-esk but after thinking it over, I could believe the outcome and was satisfied with it.
This was an interesting concept with great execution. I liked the mystery that surrounds Kenna and how you get bits and pieces of her story through her letters to Scotty. Her letters and inner dialogue help make her relatable and make you root for her success. Without the dual POV and letters, it would have taken much longer and would have been almost impossible for me to sympathize with her.
Ledger and the part he played in Diem's life was adorable. I loved how he stepped in to become a surrogate uncle to her and son for Scotty's parents, but his instalove connection to Kenna was off-putting. Eventually, their relationship normalizes out (as normal as it can be in such a situation), but the start was very rushed. Also, why does he feel the need to just point at things and get his way? Use your words, dude. Pointing is just rude.
Ledger and Kenna's struggle to figure out the parts they played in this whole complex and deeply emotional story was raw and gripping. I do like how forgiveness, both for yourself and for those who've wronged you, was a main focus of the story. Forgiveness, reconciliation, and healing were strong themes, and overall, I think they were executed well.

What a roller coaster of a book. I went in with low expectations because... well, Colleen Hoover. For the first quarter, I was convinced it would be a solid 4-star read. Then I found out what Kenna did—and I almost DNF’d, not even joking.
But to my surprise, this book ended up being deeper than I expected. Colleen's writing here actually challenged me and taught me a lot. It still had some of her signature quirks—but it also made me think and feel more than I anticipated.
Side note: I can't wait to see Lauren Graham on my screen <3
