Colton Darling and Noah King have spent the past fifteen years as rivals, competing in business and using any excuse to butt heads. But when the tension gets too much, sparks fly & their passion is undeniable.
I absolutely loved how Noah knew exactly how to get under Colton’s skin, & how Coltons family could see what was lying underneath his animosity.Learning Noah’s backstory added depth to the story, & it helped understand the deep seated rivalry. Watching both men challenge each other while breaking down their walls, made their journey of falling in love so much more fulfilling. The chemistry between Colton and Noah was sizzling, and their sexual dynamic was captivating.I love the bond between the Darling family members. Emmy gave us another heartfelt and beautiful story in the Darling Brothers series, which further our connection to the characters.

***ARC Review***

This is my honest and voluntary review.

I really do enjoy the enemies to lovers trope. I especially love when the MCs are in their 30s.

Sanders delivers in this second installment of The Darling Brothers series. Colton and Noah have an intense dislike for one another, (though one of them isn’t exactly sure why), but there is definitely something else brewing between them. Once Noah kisses Colton, they try to deny their newfound attraction (neither MC has been into men previously). Instead of walking away though, Colton and Noah keep testing each other for quite a while. They can’t get the other man out of their head and curiosity wins out. (Colton and the carrot incident is *chef’s kiss*). Once Noah and Colton give in to their desires, their chemistry is off the charts. This pairing is smoking hot! The possessiveness is strong in this one, as is the dirty talk! The more time these two MCs spend together, the more they realize that the animosity between them doesn’t have a place anymore.

While the squabbling/bristling is fun, I rather enjoy it when Colton and Noah are sweet to each other. I love how patient Noah is and how he understands Colton in a way that isn’t expected. Colton comes to realize that there was a bit of miscommunication between them years ago. Noah and Colton handle the conflict of the past and manage to progress towards a bright future together. Their HEA is satisfying and the epilogue is definitely swoon worthy.

Also, it was amazing seeing Ash, Jackson, and Remi in this book. Walter was a great side character as well. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

4.5⭐️

A cowboy enemies to lovers novel, with excellent pacing in terms of the enemies becoming lovers. Colton and Noah hate each other so much. Their arrivals and the town is very small. The tension between them thickens until it finally snaps, and they start getting themselves into situations that MOST people who hate each other probably wouldn’t find themselves in πŸ‘€

This book has a ton of fun scenes and incredible heated rivalry. We’ve got competitive banter. We’ve got β€˜only one horse.’ We’ve got questionable use of root vegetables. Best of all, we have the absolute deliciousness of someone going pliant for their enemy who they claim to absolutely despise. 😈

Normally I’m not into cowboy romance, but this series is fire.

Did I stop reading a book just to start this one? Yes. Yes I did.
Did I devour this right up and read it in one sitting? Also yes. Yes I did.

I loved these two so much. They had so much animosity towards each other and the tension. Holy tension. I was waiting for it to snap between them. It was either going to end up in a fight or in bed and thankfully both happened at the same time.

The push and pull with these two, mostly Colt was intense. They both were trying to fight their feelings for so long that I wanted to shake some sense into both of them.

Once they got over their stubbornness, they realized how much they grounded each other. I loved watching them slowly fall in love and come to terms with what they meant to each other. They honestly are a perfect match.

I love these Darling brothers. They are such a great support system for each other and the love they have is incredible.

Lawson is next and I have an idea for some tropes and I really hope I'm right.
