Oh... what a beautiful, perfect ending.
I love trilogies. You get to be with the characters for so long that the third book becomes the greatest, the dearest, and the culmination of every conflict, relationship, and decision, before leading to the most fulfilling conclusion... and Ally Condie's poetic trilogy is no exception. The books build on one another, each one complete, yet always leading to the next until finally, the conclusion. Reached was perfection. It was just what it needed to be. It was mystery and it was discovery, it was loss and it was gain... it was trying to remember, and learning to let go.
The Matched trilogy is high quality YA fiction, beautifully written, with deep and wise themes woven throughout. It was so well worth my time.

Read it because I wanted to see how the series ended but I really got tired of her obsession with poetry and songs, etc. You can't leave it out because it's important in the story but it just got old after 3 books. Everything wrapped up nicely in the end, though.

I loved it! I found that the other books lacked Xander and I got all my Xander needs in Reached. At the last two hundred pages I just ached for him to be happy and I could have finished the book when it was his last chapter and still be just as satisfied!
I started to hate Indie half way through the book and then at the end I just missed her presence. I got so angry at the villagers when they were voting about Xander and when that one villager said "It doesn't matter _____ is dead!" I felt like punching the book!
Discovering more and more about the plague and the society and the rising was very interesting but it did anger me sometimes.
I can't say much more, because I'll ruin it for you, but the character development was great and you figured out history from characters pasts! Now go read the book!

I completely lost interest halfway through this book. I found myself emotionally detached and ended up just skimming.
My review of the series overall is a 4. It follows a triology, young adult, dystopian format. The middle book left no impression on me, I can not remember what happened. The first book had such potential, a good rebellion. The final book I felt was a nice wrap up. Things were overly gum drops and sugar, as is frequent in young adult. It wasn't all tied up at the end, which was nice.
The final volume of the trilogy does everything I needed it to do. That it also does so with Condie's lyrical prose and striking imagery makes it a four star book.
3,7 / 5 stars
Everyone is so negative..! But i think it's a nice book, with good characters and unpredictable plot twists.

I like the world Ally Condie created, but sometimes is it a bit..... unrealistic.
Like the people van read and type, but the can't write ???
|||
The love triangle in the book is WEIRD. Like Ky and Xander like each other??? But the both love Cassia??? And the both like another girl (ky a little bit)??? Xander is fast"recovered" from the dat that Cassia chooses Ky??? Whut whut??

But over all....
Read the books, i think it's worth it :-)
