What a truly great book, which doesn’t surprise me in the slightest with Cora and Lark. Two of my favorites teaming up together I knew I’d be obsessed before cracking this open!

Mostly told in Wyatt POV which I don’t know how but made it so sweet to me when we do get Matthias POV of course it’s all about Wy just like his whole life basically has been

I love the friends to enemies, to fake husbands, to real lovers, journey these two go on. The struggle with the feelings Wyatt has in the beginning and how Matthias slowly earns back his trust, all to have it ruined again is heartbreaking. And even if I saw the twist coming, I still enjoyed it. I needed the men to see how stupid they were being and how they needed each other. 
Fake relationships/marriages with forced proximity are one of my favorite tropes. So I loved this whole thing. Also, I can't wait to learn more about this secret society that rules the city. There is a lot of potential there. 

While I have never read any Lark Taylor, I've read enough Cora Rose to be accustomed to her particular brand of humor, and I love it. She never disappoints! I'm also excited to have a whole other new world with a bunch of crazy brothers for us to discover and learn about in their subsequent books. I'm especially excited to see Harley get his chef. And maybe Jackson can get into some trouble with Dalton. I guess we will see. I'm so excited to see where this series goes.

One thing about me…I’m a sucker for fake marriages or fake relationships of any kind. So this had me intrigued from the very beginning. Wyatt seems to have it all-the fiancé, the job, the apartment-until he doesn’t. The desperation he feels puts him in the path of The Firm. I don’t want to spoil too much, but let me tell you…READ THIS! Especially if you love Cora & Lark’s writing.
