One thing about me…I’m a sucker for fake marriages or fake relationships of any kind. So this had me intrigued from the very beginning. Wyatt seems to have it all-the fiancé, the job, the apartment-until he doesn’t. The desperation he feels puts him in the path of The Firm. I don’t want to spoil too much, but let me tell you…READ THIS! Especially if you love Cora & Lark’s writing.

"I dare you to love me forever"

(ENG) Cora and Lark complement each other perfectly and together they make a story that is as delightful as it is heartwarming. You'll be captivated from the very first page, and you'll absolutely fall in love with these characters.

I loved how they used different points of view to mark the timeline of the story. Matt's chapters are few, but they're always highly anticipated, and they're a pleasure to read. They're so heartwarming that they'll melt your heart with love.

I would´ve loved to see the secret society trope come to life a bit more. I think there's a lot of plot in it and I'm excited to read the books of the remaining siblings to find out more! In this one, though, it felt a bit lacking.

I'm so excited for this series! It's off to a great start.

Ok, so let’s get one thing out of the way: yes, Covenant involves a secret society. Yes, there’s a favor owed to a powerful, shadowy entity ominously called The Firm. But if you’re looking for a gritty, high-stakes thriller dripping in political machinations and deadly rituals… this is not it! But gladfully so, because this book is here to charm the absolute hell out of you.

What Covenant really is? A delicious, emotional, and wildly entertaining friends-to-enemies-to-lovers romance featuring childhood soulmates who just so happen to be entangled in something just desperate enough to force them back into each other’s orbit.

Wyatt Malone is the grumpy, furious former trailer-park boy with a chip on his shoulder the size of Matthias Buckingham’s family fortune. He thought he finally made it until a family drama causes him to lose everything again.

And Matthias? Well. He’s a walking heart-eyes emoji disguised as an arrogant golden boy. Boy obsessed, chronically so. He’s been Wyatt’s since always, and watching that obsessive energy melt through Wyatt’s defenses is nothing short of euphoric.

The chemistry? Electric. The banter? Sharp enough to cut glass. The emotional payoff? Extremely satisfying. There’s something addictive about how this story unfolds—how the intimacy of hate brushes shoulders with something much softer, and then, eventually, something achingly sincere. They will frustrate you, but I feel like this was a rare occasion where the will-they-won’t-they dynamic had me really hooked and questioning the outcome.

The Firm, though present, serves more as a looming threat—a stylish excuse to force these two into proximity rather than a constant source of drama and plot twists! This isn’t a book about conspiracies. This is a book about cost. About the price of needing, of asking, of wanting—and how love can sneak its way in even when everything else falls apart.

That said, one tiny (and I mean tiny) nitpick: there is a revelation tucked in here—a twist within a twist—and while it hits emotionally, I wish it had been delivered with a little more sleight of hand. A bit more finesse and secrecy, a touch more subtlety. It could’ve landed like a lightning strike, but instead it was more of a “ah yeah I kinda called it” moment . Still fun. Still effective. Just not as explosive as it could have been.

But the characters? Instant favourites. I love me a good found family trope and I’m already halfway in love with all the brothers.

So yes. Cora and Lark—you got me. I laughed, I swooned, I stayed up past my bedtime. Consider me converted or condemned

Really good until the end, of the only way you can be in a relationship with someone is by lying to yourself Bout who they are and what they did you don't belong together.

Hi,

Can I say I enjoyed it overall. I liked the brothers relationship. I enjoyed the overall plot for it. It felt new but similar.

The reason I gave it a three or a high two is because it was overall predictable. I figured out about Matt within the first chapter.

I felt that the character Wyatt was a little more dramatic and exhaustive but I do like that he cared about his brother and his husbands family.

I felt that Matthias’s overall story was good. It made sense for him to fault to behaviors.

I think it was a good story. Rough parts overall pretty good.
