Previously read the book but had to listen to it on audio and it did not disappoint. Harley did a great job! Well with the listen!

***ARC Review***
This is my honest and voluntary review.
This is the first book in the series The Firm co-written by Cora Rose and Lark Taylor. Each of these ladies is talented in their own right, but together they are absolutely dynamic! I love everything about this book. The mystery behind The Firm (and the requests). The intrigue swirling around Wyatt and Matthias. I really appreciate that a lot of Matthias’ chapters are from before/the past. I love the pacing of this book. The rawness and angst that permeates it is superb. This story is gritty and full of desperation. I gobbled it up! Rose and Taylor set this series up very well.
There’s a lot going on behind the scenes. Wyatt and Matthias have a lot of history. Seeing them come to terms with their new reality in the present is quite captivating. There’s a push/pull dynamic going on between Wyatt and Matthias that is absolutely delicious. Wyatt resists for several reasons: his sexuality (he considers himself straight), his anger, his feelings of betrayal. There is more than meets the eye when it comes to Matthias. I just want to hug them both!
My favorite parts were any moments of vulnerability between the two MCs. There is quite a bit of anger, playing games, and antagonism going on, so it was nice to see some of Matthias’ and Wyatt’s walls come down. There’s also amazing chemistry between these two men. I was happy that Wy and Matt clear the air and find a way to overcome their conflict and claim one another. Their HEA is hard fought and even harder earned. Wy’s brother, Jackson, and Matt’s brothers are great additions to the story/series. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what else comes out of The Firm. I cannot wait for Cade’s book, up next in the series! That epilogue is enticing!
