Yes, I tried this author again. Her writing style is very easy and her characters continue to be interesting. Yes, there is a lot of insta-love (mostly insta-lust with a helping of 'no one made me feel like this') but it worked in this novella. This one is about Salvatore and Shae, who meet on Shae's holiday to Italy when she realises that her boyfriend is very much not for her.
A lot of cheating, torture and death in this, more of the former than the latter two. This book you get what it is described and Jackson does that very nicely. I don't think her novels are for me but this novella was very fun.

I did not like Shae. I hate how she thinks that being a "people pleaser" means that she has to suffer for other people's happiness.
I don't understand how the hell she stayed with Steve so long. He is clearly a lazy man-child.But why does she stay with him after cheating? What's the point? Lease or not, speak up girl.
I know that Salvatore isn't necessarily supposed to be likeable, but I like him a hell of a lot more than I like Shae.Very interesting knowing that he killed his father in law and his wife was just sort of okay with that?
So of course the implication is that she's pregnant now because that is indeed what happens when you have unprotected sex so I guess she is and somehow Sal finds out? I suppose she could look up the restaurant and call? I guess we'll see

Loved this. Some people won’t like that it has cheating but honestly, Shae’s man is trash and so is Salvo’s wife and I mean CLEARLY it’ll get resolved. So...yeah WHERE IS THE REST???
