The content warning that should be given is that the couple in this book don’t get their HEA (I’m assuming it’s a HEA) until the 4th book!! At least according to the author. If you go into it knowing that it’s a fun opener to the series, if not it’s incredibly frustrating.

This is a fun quickie of a novella (and one that I'm apparently reading in the wrong order, as I devoured The Hitman first--)
However, there's several instances of missing words/general typos that stuttered my reading experience. Still, I enjoyed the characters and backstory enough to finish.

I AM FURIOUS THIS WASN’T LONGER. This was SO good! Surprisingly complex, emotional, atmospheric, and steamy for such a short novella.
Obviously cheating sucks irl, but I think anybody who’s stuck with an asshole like Steve honestly deserves a free pass to go bone a hot silver fox mafia head in Naples.

This was soooo good. I love the chemistry between the couple, but the cliffhanger is absolutely heart-destroying. I immediately started the next book only to almost start crying when I saw it wasn't about this couple. I will wait so patiently for the next, but as soon as the next book in this series is out I'm going to jump on it! I really hope we get to this couple again soon and that they get a happy ending.
