Quick Summary: A Beatrice got her groove back romance
My Review: Breaking All the Rules by Amy Andrews was akin to How Stella Got Her Groove Back. I would classify it as version 2.0.
In this story, successful career woman, Beatrice Archer, meets small town police officer, Austin Cooper. She is older and he is younger. Despite their age difference, they are drawn to each other. They help each other "scratch an itch," all while striving not to catch feelings. Is that even possible?
My Favorite Scenes: The Grocery Store, Going to Jail, The Flashing, The Confession, and The Groveling
My Final Say: This book went from zero to one hundred with a quickness. Beatrice and Austin could barely keep their hands off one another. Beyond their insane couplings, the story beneath was simply about finding passion pursuits, celebrating truths, standing up for self, and connecting with others. Readers who enjoy age ain't nothing but a number romance stories will really like this book.

Thank you to NetGalley, RB Media, and the author for an advanced copy of this audiobook.
Bea is ready for a fresh start in a new, unfamiliar place and she’s breaking all the rules. She has always been one to conform and not color outside the lines. Not anymore. Beatrice drinks beer for breakfast, eats what she wants, and dresses as she pleases which leads to her run in with town officer Austin Cooper. He is attracted to her quirkiness and no cares given attitude. Bea must decide whether to pack it up and go back to the corporate world LA and leave everything that this charming little town has to offer or to make this living arrangement one of a more permanent nature.
I loved this book and the narration. I would definitely recommend this to friends and fellow readers.

I enjoyed this dual POV, reverse age-gap, opposites attract romance SOO much! Laugh out loud funny, steamy with great emotional depth and character development. I love a woman in her mid-thirties starting over and finding a career that brings her job instead of dread! Throw in a hot, much younger Deputy policeman/cowboy with a soft spot for high-strung cats and this book could do no wrong!
Beatrice quits her corporate graphic design job in LA when she's passed over for a much less qualified man, taking off to small town Colorado where no one knows her. The only problem? She really can't seem to resist Austin with his hot body and huge heart. What starts off as a fling quickly turns into something more but can these opposites make it work??
Great on audio narrated by Mia Barron and perfect for fans of Nothing but the truth by Holly James. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early audio copy in exchange for my honest review! I can't wait to read more from Amy Andrews (a new to me author!)

This was a thoroughly fun read. I could feel the IDGAF attitude from the first few lines. The writing is good, funny, very conversational so it is a breeze to read (I finished it in 4 days). I was definitely cheering Bea on to let go, to eat the pie, to kiss the boy. The novel is pretty sexy, even throughout the first 6 chapters where nothing even happens. The ending, even the inevitable conflict, is pretty predictable, so I didn't dwell on the not-so-fun parts too long.
My thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me access to an ARC to read and review.

A reverse age gap romance that had me laughing out loud constantly.
Beatrice has rented an apartment in the town of Credence to get away from her life in LA and away from her life of rules. She wants to break all rules she used to live by and what better way to start than show up to buy pie at the local diner in your pyjamas. That's how 25-year-old officer Austin Cooper finds her double-fisting ice cream cones on the sidewalk and insisting upon being arrested for her "crimes". Their story starts this day with her wanting to break all the rules and him happy to help her break said rules. If only he can the 35-year-old woman to open her heart for him.
This book was light hearted, funny and a simplistic romance that makes you forget your troubles. I didn't think about anything while reading this. I was just so wrapped up in the story.

Like many books in the romance genre, this was a bit cheesy. But I feel like sometimes they have to be to make sense. The dialogue was a bit unrealistic at times and I didn’t fall in love with the story. But- this was really funny. I love the author’s sense of humor!

Welcome back to Credence , Colorado the town with the best pie from Annie's and where you can wear bunny slippers and eat ice cream and pie for breakfast if you want too. Did I mention Wednesday night line dancing and a local cop who can give you every town ordnance by its number especially if your name is Beatrice who has run away from LA and for the first time wants to breaks of those rules. Like wear day of the week on Thursday panties on Wednesday.
You'll fall in love with Austin AKA Junior, a scruffy one eyed cat named Princess and a grumpy police chief Arlo who really loves their little town, and a Pun loving Brian who is Arlo's dad plus the people who live in Credence. It'll make you want to eat pie any time of the day while binge watching Supernatural on your lap top.
Thank you Entangled Publishing and Net Galley for letting me read this wonderful book and provide an honest review.
