This book is huge, but it pulled me all the way through with interesting characters and plot and beautiful writing. Can’t wait for Link’s next.
DNF around 50%. Didn’t like any of the characters, storyline lost me. Tried too hard to be weird.
I did not care about any of the characters and the entire story felt tedious. I don’t even feel motivated to find out what happened to them at this point because I’m so tired of reading about nothing.

It took me 300 pages to start to enjoy the book. I like one of the main characters, and sadly I actively hate the gay one where I had hoped to like him as a gay poc myself. He's just a fucking social disaster, and a prickly asshole, though, so it's hard to have any patience for his bullshit. Actually 3/4 of the main characters are prickly disaster assholes whose like I've never had the great displeasure of meeting in real life, and thank all my lucky stars for that. Why do books have to follow people who are shitty? Let them fade into nothing, or disappear into the background.

I loved this weird interesting funny spooky fantasy novel. A fantasy novel unlike any other I’ve ever read and I love the creativity. I could do with never reading sex scenes again about people younger than 20. But still I enjoyed it immensely.

I found this very enjoyable! I liked the way magic manifested in this story and was inspired to use some components in my own campaign for D&D. The endings felt a little out of place to me, though!
