Hated it! Totally let astray by these recommendations on this one! There is precisely one likable character in the entire book. The rest of the characters are horrible people well sometimes that people. The only redeeming quality about this book was the narration. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.
Read the reviews and I agree this book is too long. 56 pages in and we meet the characters and they talk about the same kiss over and over from everyone’s perspective. The narrative is very slow and not my taste.

I liked the writing style—sort of steam of conscious—but it was slow, and overall just too outrageously, unbelievably magical. Almost unnecessarily, even. And the ending left a lot to be desired.

An impulse-borrow from Galway Library, purely based on the cover - and it was quite the spectacular read!
Just as I start thinking that Young Adult stories are no longer for me, this one swoops in and surprises me. The writing style was challenging, but in a good way - right from the start, the author doesn't try to ease you into things, inside pushing you and nearly drowning you in them. The story was very creative, with interesting characters. Some unnecessary repetitions here and there, and it could possibly have done with more editing, but a solid read nonetheless, and at least an entertaining one.
