Cryptic weird metafiction

More like a book of poems. I'm not smart or patient enough for poetry.

I liked the structure and the description of the cities in this book, but I might need to give it another read at some point. Super clever and interesting read.

Dreamy, and yet more real than the way I live in this city, in a way... It is pieces of every city.

There's something charming about a work that refuses to ever get to a point, in some way supposing that overtly getting at a point would defeat any such point the author cares about.

There is, however, also always the lurking fear that you're just too stupid to get the point and it's right there for the taking.

My only real complaint is that the structure of the cities' descriptions started to feel repetitive, and that each city seemed unique as against others, but without any real examination of differences within the city. Very planet of hats. But I suppose that too makes sense within the conceit of the cities being described by an itinerant, not a resident.
