An umbrella as a metaphor for kindness. What a great story idea.

I read this to the children I volunteer to read to with the Read Aloud Delaware program and they really enjoyed it. I liked the symbolism of the umbrella and it’s message of inclusivity.

A book that you think to yourself, "Well, this is weird," as you're reading it, but then as soon as you finish and close the book, you then mull over how despite the text's simplicity and oddness, the story and the message are so deep and timely.

The illustrations caused us to pluck this book from
The library shelves, and we weren't disappointed. My four-year-old loves the simple storyline.
