I. Hated. This. Book. Maybe it was the narrator of the audio book but by the time I learned the mystery, I was too far in to give up.
was good! definitely not what i expected, a lot of twists i didn't necessarily see coming
I will never read ANY books by this Author again !
You try to engage reader with a mysterious plot revolving around something that happened at a Barbecue. Then you cannot decide, whether you want this book to be a Mystery fiction or want to teach readers some lessons on parenting or psychology.
There has been no other book as painful to read as this one.
Read at your own risk.
Definitely a WORST read !!!

Personally it was so easy to connect with all these people, maybe the younger me wouldn't like the novel , but 31 married with two kids, i could relate to a lot of things.
I loved that the drama was realistic rather than exaggerated, also the characters reactions were always making sense and reasonable.
All characters were interesting and had growth throughout the novel
Also i found it realistic that their friendship didn't really work out in the end.
I didn't like Erika much and felt sorry for Oliver he deserved a better partner.
Surprisingly i was glad there was no infidelity.
The last plot where Holly admits pushing Ruby was a little bit predictable for me but i like it anyway.
God it feels weird when you finish a novel that you feel connected with the characters. I felt sad just for finishing it.

The formula is the same. SOMETHING BAD HAS HAPPENED. We don't know what it is until more than halfway through the book. (Around page 237) Then the BAD THING THAT HAPPENED is rehashed from all angles and perspectives and everyone is a-okay. The end.
I LOVE liane moriarty!! However this is my least favorite book of hers. I still had a good time reading it but the book felt a little bit too long and the climax was a little underwhelming.
