Elantris

4.11 AVERAGE

Despite how long it took me to finish, I enjoyed this book so much more than I expected! Coming from Mistborn Era 1 to Elantris was certainly a difference in writing quality in regards to both the prose and world building. However, even with Elantris being Sanderon's first published novel, the story still included a vibrant and varied cast of characters, none of which felt forgettable in the slightest, and as always, the Sanderlanche in the last quarter of the book was a hard hitter. Sanderson is an expert at crafting a heroic storyline. 4.25-4.5 if Goodreads allowed quarter and half stars!

Fantastic ending and overall plot but just very slow. Did not get hooked until the end.

Epic Buddy read with my favorite fantasy junkies Robin(Bridge Four), Gavin, Armina, Alexa, Desinka July 4
