This is WAAAAY more spiritual than scientific. It starts off scientific, then kind of stops. That being said, I gained a few good tips about this which makes me want to look into Buddhism a bit more. Just wish the book knew what it was a bit more, and had a different name or hook.

Excellent book about the neuroscience of happiness. I learned alot about the brain, and how we're wired as human beings. It's helpful knowledge in understanding how to better work with our own brain to increase our level of wellbeing and joy, while reducing unnecessary stress and unhappiness. Several good recommendations for a regular meditation practice. Highly recommended.

A book with some interesting points to make. Largely though, I found that the subject matter remained at a very basic level - on both the topics of mindfulness and brain function, which to me was a limitation. This book is also written in that distinct research-driven style, in which every point the author makes 'needs' to be backed up by study, which could explain the skin-deep subject matter.
Nonetheless, worth the read.

This book was so-so. I think I went into reading it with too high expectations. The problem I had with it was that it didn't cover either of its subject topics in the depth I'd hoped for. It is interesting in parts, and if you are looking for a concise explanation of the fundamental structures and functions of the brain as we currently understand them then this book will serve you well.

A good book though, however contains lots of technical scientific details about brain, often interfering or overwhelming to reader

More science than inspiration which isn't bad but not what I was looking for.  May come back later .
