SO FRICKIN' FUNNY!!!! I need to read anything and everything else he has written because if they are anything like this book was, it's well worth it and extremely entertaining.
A quick and entertaining read, it wasn't QUITE as funny as I'd hoped. Solid 3 stars, but nothing to run out and read immediately.

This was funny and entertaining. It’s definitely not a typical Christmas story but it’s filled with a variety of colorful characters that had me laughing out loud.
Christopher Moore does one thing better than anyone, and that's completely saturate the reader with a world. And the world he creates here (or better yet in his previous novels Practical Demonkeeping and Lust Lizard Of Melancholy Cove) is hilarious. Comedy is the hardest form of entertainment to translate on page because the reader needs to always be on the same page as the author or the jokes will go right on by your head. Here, I was in lock step with Moore. I loved every line on every page. Even the animals are a comedic gold mine. Truly a hilarious masterpiece! A+

For a book that promises terror right in the title, it was severely lacking. I was expecting a horror comedy, but this book barely has any horror in it. Although they're teased early on, the zombies don't really appear (or even do anything) until the last 100 pages or so. Although the characters are interesting, I found the overall story to be a little messy. And there was too much focus on romantic relationships and not enough focus on undead chaos or terror.
This one didn't do it for me this time through. I remember finding the audiobook version hilarious several years ago, but… reading it myself… I didn't find myself as interested. It's a little weird and… in ways that I found less fun when I was reading it myself. If you want to try this anyway, my advice: listen to the audiobook… I think the performance adds to the text.
