My 5 year old loved this book and often asked for “one more chapter.” 😊 My 3 year old willingly sat through some of it 😆

It was really helpful that this Illustrated Classic had a picture on every page. It helped keep their attention and better visualize the story. Definitely going to look for more of these at the library!

I love this story so much. I almost forgot it would have me crying by the end of it. Oh, my heart....

I forgot just how horrendously racist and sexist this book is.

I didn't rate it one star, as there was some beautiful writing and poignant moments. You can see a lot of symbolism in this as well, if you know the story of the author's childhood.

I don't think I'll ever read this again, and given the racism and sexism, I doubt I'd let a child read it either, unless I was to teach them what was wrong with the book!

Definitely one to avoid.

Wow this book sucks, actually

First read of 2021:

I didn't much like Peter as a character for he literally forgets abt everything and anyone important like-
But ig we can all relate to him sometimes. Growing up feels like a trap I'd rather escape from, but soon we'll all grow up just like Wendy and John and Michael.
The ending of the story was so emotional

Pd: amo la introducción (all children, except one, grow up)
