The best Grady book I've read. Starts a little slow, definitely be wary of some deep triggers in this book like rape, child molestation, hardcore sexism, gore. Keeps you on the edge of your seat, really speaks to the power of women, wives, mothers. Loved the message of it. Has your classic 80's/90's vampire vibes. His best book I think!

Very clearly women written by a man, especially with the gratuitous inclusion of rape.

I LOVED the first chapter and the characters. The gory scenes were far too detailed for me.
