To be honest, some of the things that happened in the end of this book were all a bit... much.
I expected them to happen (well, some of them), and - in a rare instance of "go me!" - I actually realised the murderer's identity before it was revealed, but in spite of the issues I did enjoy most of the book a great deal. Maybe because there was even more of beating people up here?
Meh. Love triangles. Not my favourite part of the book, but all things considered, it could have been worse.

This entire series was amazing!! Richelle Mead is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors❤️ Rose and Dimitri are my heart and soul.
I loved every moment in this book but was a bit disappointed that so much things were left unanswered. I really hope the Bloodlines series answers them.
I lowered this book's rating to 3.5 stars after reading for the fourth time.
I found myself more and more annoyed with how central Lissa's character was for this installement (and the previous one for that matter). My dislike for her grows with each reread and I find myself wanting to stop, wanting to dnf a book from my favourite series, which is shocking to me.

step up from last book, but the ongoing adrian/rose stuff got on my nerves. it just dragged out way too long.
I also enjoyed the whodunnit aspect a lot but felt totally disappointed by the reveal.Tasha was such an interesting character and her motives were way too shallow and did her such a disservice.
Overall was really surprised how much I loved this series and how much I loved rose :) thank you elise for making me read them :) bloodlines next hehe

Rose should have ended up with Adrien. Leaving it like she did with Adrien tainted my opinion of the whole series as you come to love him through the last few books. If she had killed him off, that would have been fine, but Rose breaking his heart ruins an otherwise happy ending. It was a typical teenage romance novel which becomes extremely predictable. It was just a typical cliche ending to a teenage Vampire book. Very similar to twilight where the one you expect to get the girl does and The other is just left miserable.
