I'm.... Mmm.... I enjoyed this book a lot. I am not thrilled with how the ending was. Those last 50pgs were disappointing and I was hoping for a more epic battle of good vs evil. Not Stu and Tom trying to make it back to Colorado and Stu to plan out his future with Fran. Super anticlimactic and disappointing in the end. Overall though, I did enjoy this book and it's message of mankind being tested when the odds are against them, and how far individuals are willing to go for the greater good or their own personal gains.

The way Stephen king writes women is exhausting but overall I love a good apocalypse book and this really did that. Also Kojak 🥺

After almost 12 hours I think I gave it a fair chance. A rare case of "no plot just vibes" (so far) that doesn't really speak to me. The gross part isn't that gross, none of the characters made an impression. Just wasn't for me. Basically a pandemic is happening and it's being handled very poorly. In 2024, we've been there.

Almost 400 pages in and basically nothing that the synopsis talked about has happened yet. Too slow
