I started out not really enjoying this, certain I would give it like a 2.5 or something. But my enjoyment started when Cinnamon and Fallon started getting along, and went up from there

Very campy and corny with fun characters and good spicy content. Even had some found family in there too

I don’t usually like romance books, but if you’re a black fantasy reader i suggest you pick this book up. I literally couldn’t put it down. Cinnamon as a character is so relatable to me as a black reader and I felt so engaged while reading this book. It did move fast but that was expected given the plot & genre. A very fun read, hilarious & if you’re a TTRPG or D&D friend, you’ll find extra fun it.

Guys I think this might be my first 6 star in years. I am absolutely in love with this book, and the characters, and Kimberly's writing. I loved everything about this book, it was a perfect mix between insta love and slow burn. I love fallon, he might be my new favorite book boyfriend. I need to read the rest of this series immediately. I have not had a story that affected me as much as this one has in a long time. I feel like I will be thinking about this book (especially Fallon) for months

I wish the plot and the world was a bit more fleshed out. The spice was immaculate. I loved Cinnamon as a heroine. Will be continuing this series!

Also, this is a great book to read if you like Baulder’s Gate 3 romance.
