Stop talking about Hester's scarlet bosom or draw 25

*Hawthorne no longer able to win uno*

Hester is literally Hawthorne's dream girl and he doesn't even hide it, like bro stop simping for your character. I guess its fine though because Hester has already committed adultery once, and I doubt Hawthorne would mind if she had two scarlet letters upon her breast if it meant he could be her young sickly preacher.

Never again.

this book absolutely was pretty bad. not trying to bring the value of this classic down, it’s just a 40 page introduction is a bit excessive. other than that it was fine.

mr. hawthorne, if you are somehow seeing this from beyond the natural world, consider editing the book.

This had been on my to read shelf for a very long time. In the Scarlet Letter, a single incident of adultery has unforeseen consequences that affect four people. How each character responds to the situation determines his or her physical and mental outcome in the story. A classic with true character development.Hawthorne shows us how superficial impressions give us false portrayals of how life truly becomes as individuals in a "caring" society suddenly turn against one such individual in the moments of their greatest needs.

I’m so happy I can give books zero stars on this app because this book gives, oh excuse me, I dropped my feminist literature. You can tell, despite it being written about a mother’s story, Hawthorne had zero input from an actual woman regarding motherly love or instinct. How did the story about a woman become so centered around a man? Dimmensdale that hypocritical pasty little shit can suck my ****
