In my mind I know there are so many things wrong with me for liking this book, but I also just cannot bring myself to care!

Ryker is a possessive, alpha-hole, stalker, but he was also a great father, protector, and lover. To read mafia romances, you often have to redefine your moral code and once you do, the books become absolutely addictive.

I loved Ryker and calla’s story, probably my favorite so far in the series just cause I feel as though we’ve been building to it!!

“I wanted them to have everything my birth family had deprived me of. A safe space to learn and grow, a place where they would know no fear.”

I didn’t expect to fall for Mr. Ryker Fiore when we first met him in Bloodied Hands. He seemed very intimidating and not someone you’d want to cross, even on a good day. And yet, unsurprisingly, I fell for him and his ferocity. He may be one of the most stubborn men I’ve ever read, but he had one of the biggest hearts. Even with his dark childhood and the subsequent career path that it led him to, he couldn’t help being vulnerable for Calla and her adorable kids. These two had quite the rocky start, but they became a force to be reckoned with. They’re definitely one of my favorite power couples.

This book moved pretty slow for me. But I loved seeing Ryker care for the two kids. That was so precious. Ryker really deserved to be happy and I loved that he finally got that.

Amazing

This was such an amazing story. Even with taking a break from reading the second book to this one. I didn't feel like I needed to reread, it was like I had never taken a year hiatus. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

This book is a 6* read. I was in a huge book slump, every book I picked up I ended up dnf it because I wasn't feeling it. Saw this recommendations on booktok and I was immediately sold. Stalker/Killer/Shadow hero and Sunshine/Widow/Mom heroine and it was love at first sight. Now I got to read all of them from the beginning because this is way too good!
