This book was basically all about Daenerys. I’m not mad about that though, she’s the queen we chose.
medium-paced
fantastic, completely new stories from the show, perfectly executed, exciting, Targaryen domination? There are new rising powers. Most current book, incredibly excited to see what unfolds.

Such a wonderful addition to the series, with many characters I loved, characters I hated and moments that still make me gasp and cry on my third reread
Graphic: Rape, Torture, Murder, War
Moderate: Racial slurs, Slavery
Minor: Adult/minor relationship
the only thing stopping me from picking up part 2 right now is the fact that TWOW might not come and george will leave us all waiting
really enjoyed this! i thought it would be so difficult to go back in time to the end of a storm of swords, but i've enjoyed hearing from these other perspectives. it really reinforces how much is going on in westeros and beyond!
pov awards:
best - tyrion, reek / theon
worst - bran, jon
everyone in the world is racing across seas to reach daenerys (and propose). it feels like things are really building up to a climax here. but it is stressful knowing that there's only one more book left! things can't be resolved in time!
its crazy how different conditions are in westeros now in comparison to the beginning of the series. so bleak. loving this series so much though
