Dry but extremely motivating. My husband and I are both implementing his system for the next three months to see if it makes a difference in our productivity.

Definition of an action item or a project - "anything personal or professional, big or little, of urgent or minor importance, that you think ought to be different than it currently is and that you have any level of internal commitment to changing" (26).

My action/project list was long - 202 items for the initial collection. I now have all of those processed into projects or next action lists.

I especially liked this guideline on page 255:
"Why are we doing this?"
"What will it look like when it's done successfully?"
What is the very next step to work toward success?

I aim to keep up with the system and see what difference it makes in my life.

The author didn't invent most of the concepts he presents, but he has organized and presents them very clearly and in a way that makes me feel like I can take control of my life clutter. May change rating as I get farther into the book. Am reading it in small pieces as I have time.

There's some interesting stuff but overall I find this book too extensive and a bit boring to read. Also, if you work in tech companies or you're simply a millenial/gen z, this book will probably feel outdated.

This book is a life changer for me. Perhaps not everyone needs all the tips and strategies here, but my life is so much better organized now. It's resulted in greater productivity and accomplishing the things that are most important to me.

I'm not quite ready to join the cult but there are some good tips...
