I’m an English teacher and I had never read Wuthering Heights. But, I teach AP Lit and I’m endeavoring to read more of the classics that commonly appear on the exam. What this means, though, is that I managed to make it through high school, my Bachelor’s program as an English major, and my Master’s program to be an English teacher without ever being required to read this book. I read it VOLUNTARILY! I did this to myself! The depth of my regret is immeasurable. This book was trash.
