I hate Ari. She's so dick whipped that she immediately gets distracted and won't push the fact that this dude is the reason her fucking brother is dead?
Nope. Let's fuck him in a helicopter instead.
Also, any dude who knows how to handle a woman knows that she only hurts if she isn't ready yet. So maybe wait a fucking second and work on her first before you rip her.
Thanks.

SO GOOD. the first book is better than the second one because of how tense it all is.
See You Soon by Lauren Alexon is a standout read that defied my expectations in numerous ways. From the moment I delved into its pages, I was ensnared by its unique plot twists and the profound depth of its characters.
The story is beautifully crafted, with a plot that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. Alexon weaves elements of romance, mystery, and drama in a seamless and natural way. Each chapter brought new surprises and emotional beats that kept me eagerly turning the pages.
The characters in See You Soon are not just well-developed, they are incredibly real and relatable. I found myself deeply invested in their journeys, particularly the protagonist, whose growth and resilience are portrayed with such authenticity that you can’t help but feel a part of their world. The relationships between the characters are rich and multifaceted, adding complexity to the story. Their interactions felt genuine, and their struggles and triumphs resonated with me personally.
One of the most striking aspects of this book was its profound exploration of themes of love, loss, and hope. Alexon’s writing is not just poignant and beautiful, it's emotionally gripping, capturing the intricacies of human emotions with remarkable clarity. The dialogue is not just sharp and insightful, it's heart-wrenching, and the descriptive passages don't just paint vivid pictures, they evoke strong emotions about the settings and scenes.
The ending of See You Soon genuinely surprised me. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, Alexon delivered a twist that was both unexpected and deeply satisfying. It’s a twist that will keep you on the edge of your seat, eager to know what happens next. This unexpected turn left me reflecting on the story long after I had finished reading, a testament to the book’s impact.
Overall, See You Soon is an outstanding book that I wholeheartedly recommend. It’s a story that lingers, filled with unforgettable characters and a gripping plot that keeps you engrossed from start to finish. Lauren Alexon has crafted a masterpiece with this book, and I’m indebted to the emotional rollercoaster it took me on.

No because what?? The book seemed rushed and I DNF’d at 16%. Why are people saying the MMC is literally Ghost from COD when it seemed like Danny had the personality of a wet blanket
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this book. I felt so many emotions throughout this whole experience. Danny has pissed me off more times than I could count on two hands, he managed to redeem himself a bit but Jesus Christ sir. I get being emotionally unavailable and having PTSD and I do not blame him one bit for that, but it is only natural for Ari to want to know what happened with her brother. His temper tantrums were making my blood boil and I was happy when he did finally tell her.
The twist of Nora and Shane teaming up felt a bit cheap to me, I would've rather the two had their own phase, especially considering the book ends on a cliffhanger. There were moment's where I wasn't fully able to get into the story, mostly during the mission scenes, but I place those as a fault on my own part. Sometimes the smut scenes felt a bit to much too. Going straight from doing the dirty in a helicopter to stirring the chocolate pot in the bedroom within a few pages was an experience.
All in all it was a lot to take in, and I'm glad to be done with it. But I did like the character development the character's experienced and seeing Ari's passion in helping other's like her brother. It wasn't all bad.

Cons:
1. couldn't stay within one tense in one sentence or in a paragraph
2. Virgin religious (?) FMC but wants to jump into bed with a guy the first time they meet
3. No plot whatsoever in those 19% of the book.
Pros:
1. I guess Ari is a pretty name?
