This book goes with a one day course called "Working at the Speed of Trust". The course was excellent and focuses the how trust can tax or dividend your interactions and working relationships, and how it can be built through focused effort. The class covered pretty much everything in the book. The book is an effective reference.

IT felt like the book had ADD and it was hopping from one experience/example to another without finishing the last one. It made the whole reading experience very messy and confusing. Although I agree that every single example was worth reading about. It didn't tell me much I didn't already know, hence the three stars.
Good principles and detail, but FAR too long-winded. The same results probably could have been achieved in 100 fewer pages.
Solid book, but way too long. It spends too much time providing examples and repeating text. The key principles are great, but could be described and applied well in half the time. Covey is always a good read, but I always get the feeling that what is says is more common sense than groundbreaking.
One of the better books that I have read about human behaviour and the psychology of groups, with a business spin.
I really, really liked many of the concepts in this book, particularly around the importance of establishing credibility in order to achieve trust... and the 4 cores of credibility - Integrity, Intent, Capabilities, and Results.
The book, however, was really too long. And at times the examples were a bit pompous.
But still important concepts that I have shared with my team as work as we work to improve customer service and to become a "valued financial partner".

Definitely worth reading. Even if you "already know" the value of trust.
