The writing is great and the story is pretty decent (there's some magical stuff that I'm not totally sure makes complete sense, but the rest of it was good enough that I could just move along). The relationship between the two women was really lovely and sweet, despite the Fated Mates insta-love, and it was a very moving story about the two women dealing with their previous traumas together.

Not a fan of insta love and not a fan of the pace of the book. I think the concept was spot on, and the writing wasn’t bad at all; but I think this deserves more than a novella length storyline.

With decadent prose and lovable characters, A Wolf Stepped in Blood was a real delight. I did have some issues with the insta-love between Yasmine and Kalta, but I do like the author’s choice to use a bond between them to justify how quick their relationship progressed.

This book has some of my favorite werewolf lore of all time and, on top of that, I loved the way that it tackled themes of identity, community, and grief. The pacing was off at times, but that didn’t stop me from eating this book up.

Tamara Jerée is definitely an author I need to read more from!

The insta-lust just has me not feeling it. That and the dynamic of the relationship. Strikes a little bit too close to some toxic ones I've had. Not in the headspace for this one right now.
