THIS GREEK MYTHOLOGY INSPIRED EROTICA GIVES YOU THE PROMISE OF THE PREMISE, LET ME TELL YOU

Definitely erotica, although with a romantic vein. I hadn't read The Red, although I was familiar with the plot thanks to the Chapters app. Those unfamiliar with the story won't be lost, but you will miss why our heroine's parents are so embarrassing with their open sexuality.

I actually rather liked our heroine Lia, although I wasn't that into our hero August aka
SpoilerEros (I guess early on that's who he was, and I was curious how Reisz would work it all out with a happy ending
. The sexytimes vignettes left me cold, partially because I wasn't connected -- I had barely connected with Lia and August, and then Lia-as-Briseis and August-as-Achilles sex just felt a bit tiresome (each sexual encounter was based on a classic Greek myth). However, as the novel progressed, I actually grew invested in Lia getting some kind of happy ever after -- and I'm glad Reisz figured it out.

I am kind of disappointed in this tbh. :( I didn't connect to Lia or August at all. I found Lia to be a little annoying if I'm being honest. The sex in here was top notch as always but it wasn't my favorite thing I have read by this author

Solid 4 stars!

Holy Moly!! What was this incredible thing I just read?!?!
I loved Red but this was just 2 steps beyond that. The smut was excellent explicit and yet not at the same time if you know what I mean and it's wonderful reading about the smex in such a lighthearted yet sensual way..I loved Lia and August and their chemistry. It was so refreshing and lovely to read about greek myths from this point of view and the conversation between Lia and her mother about Poseidon and Aethra was just..

Ok its time to take a break from romance coz I'll be real here, nothing is about to beat the Rose anytime soon. I will not be able to go into any romances without feeling the after effects of this darned book so it’s time to break for a few days. Wat a fricking glorious ride...

Really original and imaginative story with a fantasy/mythological element. It's also nice to read a book that is so sex positive and sex worker positive.

This was a lush fun read for fall. Lia is a rich titled young woman, who manages an escort agency for her friends. Given a kylix of Eros for her birthday introduces her to a handsome stranger and a world of pleasure and love.

Some interesting vignettes from Greek mythology and steamy sex. Mention of a man taking advantage of a 17 year old.

This was really good. I didn't know what to expect, mostly the amount of sex that would be involved, and you know what, I was not disappointed.
