I enjoyed this book as a story of fantasy and unlikely friendship, but felt it was inaccurately marketted as romance. It certainly did not seem like a romance to me, but I see that its meant to be a trilogy so maybe the romance will develop later in the series?

The only romantic feelings and kissing in this book happen when they are under a love spell. While they care for each other at the end, its not clear to me whether thats in a platonic or romantic way.
