Lover Unveiled was secrets unveiled. I and other readers will finally know about the coffins in the garage. WOOZERS!! The author has done it again. I was sucked into the story. What a rush!!!!
If I could do a creep rating; Lover Unveiled is off the charts. Devina is back and wicked as ever. She is searching for love in all the wrong ways. The book is back giving some hopes and creating fears in the rest.
Mae is one living on a hope and a book. Desperate times mean desperate measures. Desperate times means lots and lots of drama.
Of course it wouldn't be BDB book without a romance. Mae needs a protector. She finds one in Sahvage. I would love to share his history but I can't. I could not do his character justice. Reading about him will be so much better. Trying to figure him out is the bomb.
Oh My!!! The teasers in the epilogue will have the reader pacing until the next book, and the next. I can't begin to imagine what JR Ward is cooking up in that head of hers but I can't wait to read all about it.

This morning I woke up and thought to myself, “I feel generous today”. Which is why I’m giving this book 1.5 stars instead of 0!
I think the book did the best job in describing Mae: no personality, uninteresting and a coward. Sahvage only became interesting at the end, with that revelation.
I’m looking forward to Balthazar and Lassiter’s book. Also, I LOVE Devina.

Well, I'm not sure
I usually love these books from the 1st word. This one I HAD to force myself to read. Loved the last 1/4 but it was tough getting there. I think maybe because I didn't know anyone and felt lost & confused

Mae gets points for escaping Davina's alternate dimension prison but in every other aspect she is the literal worst. In what world ever is trying to resurrect someone a good idea? Her motivation doesn't even make sense, when she has so much life to celebrate, and in the face of objective truth about her bad choices, she decides to continue down her self-destructive path at the expense of her brother, herself, her lover,and later we find, even her adopted mother figure.
Also, she's a total bitch in an attempt to #girlboss which she apparently doesn't understand entirely defeats the purpose. Pro tips - if you have to tear someone down to make yourself look stronger, you never were strong to begin with. The way Mae talks to Savhage is really, REALLY shitty. I hope somewhere down the line the have couples therapy with Mary because seriously, that male should not have to deal with the way his shellen talks to him. Good thing biology overrides common sense in every instance and bonded male hormones supercede plain Jane and total idiot points.

Story gets points for Raven and Savhage, which culminates in the last chapter, and poor Nate who never stood a chance. Big first love feels for that male. Also and forever, Lassiter, who is the entire point of this re-read. Lassiter, that is, and also Jim Frangione

Not as good as past books in the series. It's always nice to disappear into the Black Dagger Brotherhood world, though

I want to love these books. Desperately. But they’re just like not my cup of tea story telling wise. It skips around a lot to other people, setting up future books, sometimes tying back into the current storyline.
They’re masterfully written and the romance is great… when it’s their chapter, though. I found myself wanting to skip chapters to get back to my main lovers storylines.
I’ll def keep reading them, I’m just not dying to keep reading on.
