As suspected, lady Guinevere was an absolutely insufferable character.
I learned that MZB has been accused of some fairly disturbing things by her daughter, I don’t think I can separate that info from what would otherwise be a pretty enjoyable historical fiction.

This is one of those books where I enjoyed the middle parts way better than the beginning or ending - so good though, one of my favorites!

This was better than the first book in the series. I like that it covered euthanasia in a positive way and that it had a main character with an anxiety disorder. I didn't like the relentless sentimentality. And also, Guinevere must die. What could Lancelot possibly see in her.
