I could say a lot about how much impact this had on history, how much harm it created and all that, but really the biggest sin of this book is how fucking boring and contradictory to itself it is. I wasn't a believer when I started, and I'm even less likely to be after reading this waste of time.

Finally finished reading the entire Old Testament! I had read bits and pieces, but never the entire thing until this year! Lots of great things in the OT that I never would have known about. But now I can say that I've read the entire bible!

Main character is inconsistent and has some problematic views. The bit about the dude killing everyone with a donkey's jawbone was badass so I gave it two stars.

I actually only finished the Old Testament. It took me a year and 2 weeks to complete the whole thing.
