I've re-read this book a few times now, and, hands-down, it honestly has to be one of my favourite books in my bookshelf. I love Arthurian legend and the way Marian Zimmer Bradley relays it from her point of view. The strength of the female characters in this book is amazing as well. It's a book I can easily get lost in many times over and find relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable to read after a long day at work with a hot cup of tea.
Wow this is long. I re-read this for bookclub and while I did get tired of the treachery after awhile it did (IMO) stand up to the test of time. It was a great book for bookclub. There is so much to discuss.
One of my all time favorites ... have read it 3 times now & I never re read books. The Arthurian legend from the point of view of the "evil sorceress" in standard Arthur stories ... Morgana as a Druid priestess, fighting the smear campaign of the early Christian church. Absolutely fantastic story.
I like this book, but it is tedious at times and I can't seem to stay interested. I will pick it up later and finish another time.

Ok, so I really tried to like this book. I love the idea and the concept. However, I found each character somewhat annoying and I just couldn't get myself to care about what was going on. I made it to page 750, with less than 100 pages to go. But I just couldn't do it anymore.
