I loved the entire Mancinkus family. I adored the town of Whynot. This was a great first book, in what I bet will be an awesome series, from Juliette.

I really liked how everything was laid out and you could just imagine the town and all the folks puttering around.
Ryland and Trixie both love their jobs, just on different levels. Ryland is a workaholic and could definitely use some small town time. Trixie knows just how important family is.

This really brought me back to all of the small towns and southern areas I have lived in. I loved the sayings and all of the quirks you find in those places. Juliette did a damn fine job of bringing the South to you.

ARC received for an honest review

A new series from Sawyer Bennett/Juliette Poe - let me at it!

Settle in with your ereader and a cup of sweet tea for this cute and sweet second chance romance.

Ain't He Precious kind of reminded me a little of that TV show Hart Of Dixie - I think it is just the small town southern thing there.

Trixie and Ry's story is full of sweet moments - though I had to shake my head at the pair of the, neither of them made a move to contact the other in over a decade? Pish! I wanted to slam their foreheads together to knock some sense into them!! But it does give us that will they won't they throughout the book.

I adore Trixie's family, particularly her grandpa Pap. He plays quite a big part in the story, with his POV occasionally thrown in. She also has lots of siblings whose stories we will get as the series grows. I have a feeling that her brother Lowe's story is going to be an interesting one.

This is a sweet, cute, sexy story about a beautiful southern town and the characters that make those towns so adorable. It is a quick read, and I wish I had more of it, but I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Aw! What a fun read! Full of love, sexy scenes, and mostly fun love. Ryland and Trixie are a refreshing read! Sure, we've all read second chance romances, but not one this light. I loved the fact they still loved each other but there was no drama, or bottled up anger from either character. From Trix's pap to fishing adventures with Ryland, this book is total swoon worthy goodness! I give it a full five sweet tea with peach moonshine stars (something I REALLY have to try)! You do not want to miss out on this book! Perfect for sitting on the beach and losing yourself in a light-hearted read!

I finally got around to reading this after seeing a lot of reviews for it when it originally released.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked both Ry and Trixie as characters, and I sure as shit loved her family as well. They're a kooky but loveable bunch.

I loved the small-town community feel of Whynot and Ry was adorably taken aback by how things worked in town and the personalities of the people he came across.

There was a bit of angst in this, but nothing too over the top, and the way Ry and Trixie fit together is just perfect.

I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Definitely recommend if you're thinking about giving it a go.

I was not sure what to expect from this book but I can honestly say I loved it! This was a sweet, sexy, fun read about second chance romance between the big city lawyer Ryland and the small town lawyer Trixie! You will fall hard for this couple that you'll be cheering them on too! Enjoyed this book so much that I finished it in a day.

What a delightful read from Sawyer Bennett, writing as Juliette Poe. This was a quick and fun read about second chances and family. Trixie Manickus is a born and bred Southerner. While attending Harvard Law she falls in love with Ryland Powers. They make plans to be together after law school but Trixie brings those plans to a screeching halt with her decision to return home. Now eleven years later she asks Ryland to help her with a case, and he drops everything to help her. The little town of Whynot, North Carolina was exactly how I envision one-horse towns in the US to be: quirky characters, quaint settings and community-orientated values.

I enjoyed reading Trixie and Ry's second chance romance and getting to know the Mainer-Manickus family. Looking forward to reading the other books in this series.

"The people in this town are nuttier than squirrel shit."

Ryland and Trixie have a big past. Eleven years later, they're both successful lawyers with unsuccessful love lives. When Ry flies down to Whynot, things are bound to reconnect.

Flirty and funny. I loved this! Short and sweet. Definitely loved all the characters and how everything played out.

4.5 Small Town Stars

A sweet second chance romance between a small town southern sweetheart and a her city lawyer ex boyfriend.

Fantastic writing with just enough southern kitsch to make me smile but not roll my eyes.
