I can´t really understand how it has taken me this long to read The Tales of Beedle the Bard, when I´ve read Harry Potter- series ten times and absolutely adore everything about them. But better late than never!
I think this collection is wonderful. The stories themselves aren´t that amazing, but the connection to the wizarding world makes them very special and I once again feel like getting back to Harry Potter. Something I enjoyed even more than the actual tales were Dumbledore´s comments. They are funny and interesting, giving new information about magic, wizards and their history. I Also loved Rowling´s illustrations, they fit the stories so well and made the book a little bit more magical than it already was.

Order of the best and worst (best first and worst last) The Tale Of the Three Brothers, The Fountain Of Fair Fortune, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, Babbit Rabbity and her Cackling Stump, The Wizard and the Hopping Pot.
Being a huge Harry Potter fan, owning the wand and the other collective things, I was excited to read this. However when I finished Deathly Hallows back in 2011, I forgot to read this after and picked up other books. So when I picked it up now, I forgot quite a few little things to do with Harry Potter, but as soon as I picked it up, I was back in that wonderful Harry Potter mood. I love the idea that this was fairy tales for the wizards and witches, The fairy tales 'The Wizard and the Hopping Pot' or 'Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump' are as similar to wizards and witches, that are 'Cinderella' or 'Hansel and Gretel' to Muggles. I also really want J.K Rowling to release another wizard fairy tale book that have more fairy tales in them, as I loved these tales. It would be really interesting if she did a tale like red riding hood with a dark spin or a wizard version of Hansel and Gretel. I will go individually on each fairy tale in 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard.'
The Wizard and the Hopping Pot: Being the first book in this novel, I was intrigued by the nature of the tale and thought it was a nicely cut
and a simple fairy tale, It reminded me of the Muggle tale, The magic Porridge pot. This was my least favorite out of the five but it was still nice and unique. I did however get disgusted with the warts on the pot and the moldy cheese coming out of the pot. I did think the main character was a bit like scrooge, in the way with his mean characteristics and rude remarks.
The Fountain of Fair Fortune: This was a really interesting fairy tale and was probably the second best one. The story of this one follows three witches who sympathize for each other and vow to go into the fountain together so they all have a good life. They soon meet, Sir Luckless, A muggle who as you guessed, has no luck. This was a wonderful story and had a really nice approach. I can see Mrs Weasley reading this to a young Ginny and Ron, it has that wonderful pottery (a word I just made up) feel to it. I also loved Dumbledore's note to this, It was really interesting to find out about Mr Malfoy's attempt to put a ban on this, It was just like his character. I really enjoyed this one and thought it was a perfect tale for wizards (like me :P)
The Warlock's Hairy Heart: This tale met lots of controversy both in the wizarding world and our world. Due to it being very dark and twisted, people thought this was different and too scary for kids, my response to that is, Kids nowadays watch films like 'Friday the 13th' which include weird psycho's trying to rip off teenager's faces, seriously, pathetic or not?. Anyways, this was really Gothic and I loved that. It really portrayed the male lead perfectly and showed his emotions superbly. He was a cruel man and the story shows this. Also the tale progresses and changes by every page; The only criticism I have is that it was too short and could have been a few pages longer.
Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump: As Albus Dumbledore said in the note of this tale, This was one of the first mentions of Animagus, I loved that little reference and I thought it was so clever. I really thought this story was really clever and once again really simple but effective. I definitely think the 'fake wizard' in this, eould be in slytherin. There is not much to say about this one but I just really enjoyed it.
The Tale of the Three Brothers: Needless I say anything, All Harry Potter fans or even people who watch the films know this tale, it is one of the most important key things in the last Harry Potter. This is of course the best one, If I had to choose from all three items, It would be the Elder wand and even if that makes me foolish, even Sir Dumbledore said he would take the Elder wand rather than the others. I thought this was Clever, imaginative and dark; The whole concept was superior and just magnificent.
This is why I love J.K Rowling so much, she is a queen with writing. She can do so many things and she is probably one of the nicest people ever. Hearing the fact that she lost her billionaire title because she gave lots of money to charity just made me think how wonderful she must be, she definitely doesn't have a heart like that warlock! If I could meet any one in the world, It would most likely be her, She is the creation of Harry Potter, the thing that makes many children's childhood. I love the fact that she made only British people come in the Harry Potter films. I love that she gives so much money to charity,
I love that she is not a typical millionaire or billionaire who buys and shows off all their rich stuff. As all of her fans say 'Rowling is our Queen'
I thought this book was a lovely addition to the Potter series and I cannot wait to re-read the Harry Potter series in the summer!

Rereading this is always a nice trip into the Harry Potter universe.
I really enjoyed the “fairy tale” stories from the wizarding world and the perspective of being told these stories as a child. I would have love for a dozen more. However I didn’t like the notes from Dumbledor; I thought they intertwined too much into the timeline of Harry Potter. I wish it was just a separate piece. LOVED listening to the cast members read the stories! The fountain of fair fortune was my favorite.
When I can't sleep I read myself a story from this book. My favorite is The Wizard's Hairy Heart.

This book was a great way to reenter the world of Harry Potter without having the time to reread the original novels. J.K Rowling once again is able to capture something unique within her characters. I loved the notes from Dumbledore almost as much as the notes from Rowling, which imply she is personally acquainted with McGonagall. I could see myself readings this to children today, with the exception of The Warlock's Hairy Heart. Though a nice insight to Rowling's darker side in story telling, it may not be completely appropriate to a child.
There really isn't a whole lot I can blab about this book. It was loads of fun to read, of course, because I loved Harry Potter so much and returned to his half-backwards world is always a jolly good time.
I suppose the one thing I feel I need to say is how the short stories found in this book don't seem forced. When I first heard of this book I felt it was Rowling trying to make a quick buck by vomiting out a bunch of nonsense, but I was wrong. It actually feels like she put some time towards it, which I think all of her fans truly appreciate. You could also see her love for her own fictional world bleed through, and I think it softened the blow for a lot of fans when it came to Harry Potter officially coming to an end.
