This is one of the coolest audiobooks I have heard. I loved the concept of this book. It’s the fairytales of the world of Harry Potter. The book had Dumbledore’s perspective on each story and other sections of notes that make it sound like actual historical texts. Super cool. I love books like this and will check out the other two in the series. Definitely one of the best audiobooks in the Harry Potter world.
I wish there were more to this! FIVE tales? That's it? It's certainly no good introduction to the wizarding world, but Dumbledore's commentary was pretty awesome and, as a lover of fairy tales, I found it fun. Just...too small.
The tales themselves are kind of silly, but the commentary is fun.
This rating is based on the audible production for this. This audiobook is a complete delight, such a high quality production with sound effects and wonderful narrators. I was extremely impressed with Noma Dumezweni's performance, it was so atmospheric and perfect for the tale of three brothers. I also really enjoyed Warwick Davies' performance! Would recommend
A sweet series of tales from a well-loved series. I personally listened to the latest Ausiobook version and felt there was something extra added by the fact Dumbledore's notes were read by Jude Law, and the stories read by well known cast members.
