Only knocking off a point for the irreverent (French) tone, but the book itself is intriguing. Essentially debunks the official narrative of a depressed pilot and disappearing in the Indian Ocean in favour of a crash in the South China Sea. Ignore the hyper around the US involvement, it's a fun speculative part of the book that is not indicative of the full picture. It's more of a "how might these loose ends connect" theory. I can't find anything debunking her and some of the negative Goodreads comments are suspicious.

I found the trail of misinformation, media hype train and failing experts that Florence exposes to be a fascinating precursor to the Covid farce we all lived through. Don't attribute anything to malice that can be better attributed to fear.

I love reading non fiction books, especially when they are related to cases like this one.
I had watched several TV programs talking about the MH370 flight and the mystery surrounding it and when I found out that such a book existed I immediately bought it.
It has several very interesting parts, from the initial idea behind the disappearance too the different clues, other possibilities etc... It was constructed in a nice way and everything flows well.
I found it interesting all along and learned a lot about the different leads surrounding this case, I have personally great admiration for the author who traveled across the globe to meet up with several people to try and uncover the truth.
It was a great tragedy, I can't imagine what the families must have been goigg through since 2014 and I do hope that one day the truth is uncovered.
This book is great and if you are interested in the news and actuality, you should definitely read this book as it has very interesting leads!

What an absolutely riveting read! This is a truly incredible piece of investigative journalism that explored all possible venues for explanations using witness statements, professional opinions, and former and current government and military members. It is a long but worthy read if you are fascinated by the world of likely government cover ups in aviation accidents. As De Changy says in ending her book, “in the unfortunate case of an air crash, truth is almost bound to be the first casualty.”
