It was like I was reading a script for a Movie of the Week. First Patterson book I've ever read. Not in any hurry to read another one. Super quick & easy read.

Interesting story, but I felt like there should have been more. Not too difficult to figure out the mystery.

Pleasant enough read but nothing special and probably not one I will remember. I listened on audiobook whilst doing other things and it was fine as background to my day, but didnt really grip my imagination. There were no clever twists to the story and a ‘thriller’ it wasnt!

As I know almost nothing about American football, much of the game commentary was lost on me and I could only have finished this on audio. A traditional book would not have kept my interest.

The ending seemed a little contrived to me and was not at all satisfying. It was a little too convenient but with lots of loose ends left dangling.

I think the final words were supposed to be dramatic, but I didnt ‘get’ why and am left a little deflated and puzzled. Not a great place to leave me as a reader!

I initially awarded the book 3 stars for keeping me company, but have downgraded to two after exploring my thoughts in this review.

I will not be rushing out to get the next James Patterson collaboration

Fast paced book with football, a strong bad ass female lead taking on a male dominant world....I thoroughly enjoyed it.
