Fast and quick, straight forward mystery. It would have been better with some kind of twist at the end.
This was the last book my grandfather was reading when he died. I decided to read it so that I could finish it for him :)
Sadly, this wasn't what I thought it was going to be. It was from the perspective of a woman but is very clearly written by two men. Some of the things Jenny says were just weird.
I was expecting this book to be a murder mystery, but the mystery behind the various murders took a back seat to the blackmail and the politics of the NFL. I would have rather it focused more on the actual murders then the football, but that is because I am not the biggest fan of the sport.
The ending felt like it happened really fast.
Even though this isn't my new favorite book, I feel connected to my grandfather because I read it, so it holds a special place in my heart. <3

Like someone else had mentioned, good story but definitely didn’t feel like there were any twists or shocking outcomes.
Enjoyed the majority of the book. Disappointed in the ending.
Review of the book, the house of wolves by James Patterson, and Mike Lupica. I found the book to be very enjoyable. It was an easy read, and would be great in the summer or around the pool. The characters were interesting, and amusing story was fast paced.
I enjoyed the book and give it four out of five stars

I read all the Alex Cross books by James Patterson as well as his autobiography, and I really liked his style of writing. As for Mike Lupica, I knew of him from ESPN and that he wrote several sports books.
When I saw this book as an upcoming release in my Amazon Kindle library, I was definitely intrigued. Even more so, when I read the quick summary of it.
Without spoiling it, it’s about a powerful family and the patriarch owns a football team and the local newspaper. Who doesn’t like professional football, high school football, San Francisco, and sibling rivalries? The main character is the narrator, and she is a very strong woman.
As soon as I read the first chapter, I was hooked and couldn’t wait to continue reading to see what happens next. I can easily see this book as a series as the story continues.
