I enjoyed this read. It’s a dark mafia romance that gave me LORDS series vibes. The FMC and MMC are older than college aged. There are multiple perspectives, action, twists, some found family, spice, and trigger warnings so make sure to read those if needed. Can’t wait to read the next book!

This is book #2 in the Darkest Dance series. Each book is standalone but the characters are interconnected. Most of the women are ballerinas and the men are mafia and connected to a masked secret society.
This book focuses on Naomi and Nico. Usually I really enjoy Jagger Cole, however, this one was not my favorite. Naomi goes through something very traumatic near the beginning of the book. Nico uses that against Naomi to essentially own and manipulate Naomi. Why I understand why that happened for the story, I didn't like it. I have a hard time believing Naomi's actions after this incident. I also don't believe Naomi would be alright and enjoying what Nico puts her through. Nicole himself is unhinged, clueless, and for the most part unremorseful. This book was a miss for me. I just couldn't get past the actions and behaviors.
Thank you Valentine PR for the ARC.

Nico is just like Caleb from LAD Game—so ruthless and gets easily jelly! Oh Jagger! Another tattooed, blue eyed man 🥵, biker, and pierced 🍆? Fuck! When you’ve got a delusional father in politics, a career to protect, and a man who’s taken you in like he owns you for revenge… Naomi’s confused. She’s attracted to him. The slow burn is slow burning while he treats her like a fuckdoll. Nico didn’t realize he was slowly falling for her at the same time she was falling for him. I swear, the spice is spicing! Nico’s got a filthy mouth, though not as bad as his brother Carmine.
I’m proud of Naomi for standing up to her father, and I’m so glad Nico owned his mistake instead of brushing it off. The ending was beautiful! Please check TW. This has dark themes with light BDSM.

After Nico Barone’s sister is almost blown up in an explosion, he’s looking for revenge. That leads him to Naomi Kim, daughter of a Washington politician who may have had something to do with the explosion. As payback, Nico decides to keep Naomi and take out his payback on her.
I love this book so much. Naomi is strong and smart and is able to find her voice after suffering a traumatic experience. I adore Nico and his emotional side. After Nico and Naomi spend time together, they start to develop feelings for one another, but there are problems that could stand in their way. The supporting cast of characters could not be better. Kratos is a god! I love the girl squad of ballerinas - they are a supportive group and so hilarious. I will advise you to check your trigger warnings if you have any! This one has good world building, great characters, and an excellent plot which has a few twists and turns.
I highly recommend Dance of Ruin. Read it and let me know what you think - I’d love to discuss!

Jagger Cole…I don’t know what it is but I blitz through each book. This one is no exception! Nico is dark and yet not the darkest, he’s funny in a jerkish way but I love it, the way he acts tough but deep down he’s an honorable man who acknowledges and apologizes for his mistakes (even if they’re few and far between per him). Naomi loved her, her fire and strength she builds throughout was so good. I cannot wait for more from this series!!
Thank you to Valentine PR and Jagger Cole for this ARC for an honest review. The above review are my opinions only.

wow wow wow. Another masterpiece. Absolute banger of a book.
These two had me on my toes the majority of the book. Between their tension, their chemistry, their passion, I was hooked.
Naomi was such a strong FMC. She experienced the unthinkable and while her coping mechanism went the best, it is a reality for many that go through the same thing. She was so fierce and sassy and I love that she made Nico work hard for her.
I wanted to throttle Nico at times. He was so stubborn at times and in the end it was his downfall a bit. I was happy to see that he was quick to fix his ways once he had the whole truth and show Naomi he really cared but ugh the time it took to get to that point was maddening.
In true typical Jagger fashion there were so many twist and turns and just when I think I figured it out he drops a major bomb. I mean I was half right about it but everything else I was not expecting. He answered so many questions but left me with so many more. I'm so excited to see where this new storyline heads in future books. It also opens up the door for a new series and new characters, I'm so excited.

Jagger Cole keeps blowing me away. His books follow a similar pattern—dark vibes, obsessed men, lots of tension—but somehow he always brings something fresh. Dance of Ruin is no different. After Dante and Carmine, I was really curious about Nico, and yeah, he delivered. He’s immediately obsessed with Naomi, a ballerina who ends up in the middle of something she didn’t ask for. And once he finds out who her father is, things go off the rails. The Court is still very much present, and Kir shows up again—which I loved.
Naomi is seriously strong. She’s been through hell, but she doesn’t let it stop her. She doubts herself, especially with how she reacts to Nico, but she doesn’t back down. She speaks up, sets her boundaries, and stands her ground. I didn’t always get why she reacted a certain way later in the book, but it didn’t take away from how powerful she was as a character.
Nico is intense—and kind of unhinged. He doesn’t think things through; he just does. He’s the type who acts first and deals with the fallout later. He messes up more than once, especially when emotions take over. But he’s also super loyal and protective, I’ll give him that. And when it comes to Naomi? He’s obsessed. Fully gone. It borders on crazy, but hey, that’s part of the charm in Jagger’s worlds.
Their chemistry is hot, but mostly physical. The attraction is there right from the start, and yeah, the steamy scenes are on point. But I didn’t always feel the emotional connection. I wanted just a bit more than lust and possession. Especially with everything Naomi’s going through, I needed more depth between them.
The plot stays strong and keeps moving. There’s revenge, blackmail, secrets—it doesn’t slow down. Nico wants to use Naomi at first, but of course, things spiral. And like always with Jagger, there’s more going on in the background: the Court, the power plays, the danger. It pulls you in and makes you want to read the next book right away.
I need more—especially Kir’s story. He shows up again in this one, and honestly, I’m just waiting for his book now. I know Nero’s up next, and I’ll read that for sure, but Kir has something that makes me extra curious.

Another fantastic book!
As with all Jagger Cole's books, this one grabbed my attention from the beginning and I absolutely devoured it. It was fast paced, action packed and so hot you will need an ice cold shower.
Nico and Naomi were chef's kiss! I loved them both. Nico was unhinged, possessive with a side of sweet and swoony and I was totally there for it. Nico's protectiveness towards his family and Naomi was hella sexy. I enjoyed the many facets of Nico.
I adored Naomi's fierceness and sassy attitude towards Nico. She gave in when she wanted too but definitely pushed back when she needed too. In spite of all that Naomi went through she was resilient and did not let it get her down. She persevered and moved pass everything and came out stronger.
The attraction and chemistry between them was delicious and electrifying and their banter was funny and sassy.
I liked the side characters and getting more insight into their personalities.
In true Jagger Cole's style the plot was intriguing and jaw dropping. I was on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns.
This was definitely another gripping and enjoyable book that I could not put down and I am very excited for the next book.
