When I heard about this book, I thought I’d like it. After reading the first 5 chapters, I thought I’d dislike it, but I still wanted to finish. And I have to say, I’m definitely glad I stuck around to the end, because from Chapter 6 onwards, this book had me hooked — very fun characters, a well-done romance and relationships that honestly remind me of The Sound of Music, and a warm, cozy story that was a pleasure to listen to (and then finish by reading). Definitely going to check out more books by T.J Klune, and definitely going to check out more cozy fantasy.

I loved the characters and their magical abilities, I am also excited that their will be another book come out in 2024, very excited to read and see what it is all about. I think Lucy was my favourite, he just seemed so sweet. I am excited to read more of this author's works. I normally don't read Fantasy but this book may have changed me a little bit. This was my last book of 2023 and I am glad it was a good one. I listened to audiobook while following along with the physical book and it was great. I heard great things about this book on Tiktok, and I am so glad that I picked up this book because I loved every page of it. I loved the Romance in this book it was so cute. I will be reading this book again sometime in the future hopefully. I did like how their were some similarities to Miss Peregrin's Home for Peculiar Children. That series is my favourite I have read all the books. I think the Cerulean sea series could be a new favourite.

One of my favorite reads of 2023 for sure. The audiobook is delightful, the narrator does the cutest voices for the magical children. So happy this book lived up to its hype.
