this book put me through every emotion you could imagine. this book needs to be read and talked about more because omg was this so entertaining and fun.

This was a recommendation from a friend, who had spoken about some steamy scenes appearing almost out of nowhere in the book. As the friend in the group who reads these kind of books, I decided to give it a go. Now, there was 1 scene which I was a bit shocked by it appearing out of nowhere. HOWEVER, the rest of the book was incredible. the story, the lore, the characters all made me feel the feelings and at one point I was at work, reading on my lunch break, crying! I instantly had to go and read book 2, will leave another review there!

I enjoyed the magic system in this book. I wasn’t expecting the ending, I’m really curious about the next book.

Wow. I went into this not expecting for this to be as rich and wonderful as it was. I love me a bad guy who shows us how he’s bad and how he’s not. I love the world here, it was interesting and fresh while also not trying to reinvent the wheel. I love the trials in this story. Just everything. I loved this.
