It took a while to get into the book and then it proceeds to stab me right in the heart. I lowkey want to yell at Raven for the obvious reason for the whole plot but that would be too simple. Also makes me think of Ella Enchanted with a much hotter lead. 4/5 for spiciness. Immediately starting the next book.

3.5 maybe 4 stars? It was just a bit meh I dunno the concept behind this book had the potential to be something amazing but sort of found it underwhelming, of course I’m going to read the second because I can’t be left with a cliff hanger

This book came highly recommended to me and I'm so glad I read it (and I don't know why I waited so long). So if this is sitting on your TBR, this is your sign to move it up on the list. Don't wait to read this book any longer.

The banter between Raven and the main love interest (no names because I don't want to spoil the fun) was amazing! I could listen to them all day.

Also the friendship between Raven and Kirsi was amazing! I loved out loud so many times, with Kirsi's witting remarks.

There were twists and turns that I didn't see coming... and that ending. gasp. Running to go start book 2.

I actually really enjoyed this, despite a few things (the super slow start, the way the FMC was wishy-washy and naive, the fact that we didn’t see the relationship grow outside of one-sided letters and conversations, the trials lacking a lot). I’m continuing onto the sequel to see if I’m right about things.

Lots of thoughts on this one.
5 stars for world building, pace, and shadow daddy, even though his dialogue was a bit too emo, he was always messing with his bottom lip, and it was a bit too insta- love, sex was excellent but it took forever for them to get there

Some people just need killing, and she needs to get with the program.  Why aren't you killing people who are actively trying to kill you? It would have saved so many lives and saved me from a book 2.
How many times will you let someone who's betrayed you get close to you?
I don't know why Bastian couldn't tell her the truth earlier.
