Hot damn this is a good read!
Monster hunter Henry Baltimore travels around and kicks a whole lot of monster butt. The inquisitor is hot on his heels and I really hope they’re setting a confrontation in the next volume.
Read this! It’s so good!

As gory and as cool as ‘Plague Ships’ & ‘The Curse Bell’
but better. The shorts really do well exploring who Lord Baltimore and some of the other characters are.
Nice to see Hodge again, not sure how far he goes in the saga but as now I like him as a sidekick/chronicler.
And again the atmosphere, aesthetics, art still spot on.

Much like vol. 1, this volume has its ups and downs. That could be a result of the fact that each story in the volume was collected from different points of publication and are merely shorted, more self contained stories about Lord Baltimore. That being said, it steadily gets better as the stories progress with The Tank being the weakest and either Dr. Leskovar's remedy or The Inquisitor being the strongest visually and storytelling wise. They are the most coherent and make the most of the visual nature of comics. A great collection of stories for sure, just not as consistently good as it could have been.

I'll finish it, but the plot is a little thin. Great artwork, cool monsters, though.

This is kind of a Avengers Assemble collection where Baltimore's team picks up a few strays and and continues to expand his team of monster killers.
This hints more at a BPRD creation than a hellboy creation, focusing on a leader amongst a group as oppose to a single individual.
Solid work but the focus changes away from the fearful Baltimore in this one.

I truly adore the depths of darkness the Baltimore stories reach. A Passing Stranger and Other Stories is beautiful and tragic. I particularly love the references to Poe; I've noticed traces of old Edgar in Mignola's work before, but the homage really flourishes on these pages. Of course, no work with the name Mike Mignola attached is complete without stellar artwork, and this volume is no exception. When thinking about series like this, it's always important to consider the character development, and I love what we see here -- not just Baltimore, but more minor characters as well. A very solid installment, and I wait on tenterhooks for the next one.

Bundled vignettes serve Baltimore well. Nothing overstays its welcome. Kim Newman's introduction may be my favorite part. It taught me something new about the role of war in late 19th century European horror science fiction. Who doesn't love that?

I am totally enjoying this series about Lord Baltimore. It's set after WWI; 1913- 1917 so far. Lord Baltimore is hunting down the Vampire that Killed his wife named Haigis. He can't quite catch up to him, but he has to clear out other terrors and vampires as he chases after Haigis.

This episode, he stops in a sea village and helps clear out some horrors from this town before he gets on his way again. We also see the Inquisitor come back in this book. I really don't like him. A few characters from previous volumes show up as well.

This is dark and post-apocalyptic. It's almost too dark for me, especially during the pandemic, but I'm still enjoying this story. Our library is closed, so I only have the things checked out and then I will run out of graphic novels. I think I have about 8 books left. That's a small thing compared to everything going on. Yeah, this isn't the best thing to be reading right now.
