A good historical fiction with dual timelines. The plot examines powerful men and women’s role in the early 1900s. There is also a look at the power of grief to control peoples relationship. This is my first book by author and I must say it and the afterward felt a lot like a Marie Benedict novel to me.

I love historical fiction books.
I like early 1900 era. 2 time lines (1919 and 1966) intersect interestingly. I like 1919 story better. Similar vibe with “The Personal Librarian” (interesting that the Frick family bought the mansion from J.P. Morgan)
