4⭐️ The Magnolia Palace is a great historical fiction with mystery, intrigue, a missing jewel, false accusations, art work, and so much more! The book contains two separate pieces that are interconnected in the most unique ways with a few little twists that held my attention and made me want to know more.

This was a little bland. It wasn’t as compelling as I was hoping. The characters fell a little flat for me. I didn’t care about them which made it hard to proceed. Maybe I don’t get the era but nothing felt as scandalous as it was written to be. I was bored halfway through and had to push myself to finish.
