Wow what a gem this book is. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.  Even though the story is fictional many of the events and the magnolia palace are actual events and places.  This story weaves two timelines. The first story is about one of New York’s finest models in the 1919’s and how she struggled to make a living and ended up as a personal secretary to one of New York’s finest, Helen Frick.  The second timeline takes place at the very same mansion but in 1960’s.  Two women who both struggle to make a life converge in this fascinating place in New York called the Magnolia Palace.  I thoroughly enjoyed this book and now want to know more about this real live historical place.  Thank You Fiona Davis for this masterpiece. 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. #bookstagram #booktok #booktokbooks #historical-fiction.  Don’t you just love the cover!
